243 - The accompanist is late

Dim Sum practices her vocalizations while waiting for the accompanist and the concert guests. Meow, meow, meow, MEOW, meow, meow, meowww, ....


I had to derender a deer and a fountain to simplify the scene. I was going to do a night scene to emphasize the whiteness of the piano, but I think this is nicer.

242 - To meet a Montague

Dim Sum looks up at the sound of rustling silk and watches the figure run past her under the bright moonlight.


This location now has significance to me. W had taken me here and, after a month-long argument, we reconnected again. So I made a landmark and sent it to Dim Sum.

I was looking around for a good shot, when I got a ding-ding with the question, "why did you decide to be a cat ?" :)  That started a conversation that went from modeling and blogging and photography and virtual relationships. (I accidentally gave her the link to my book blog instead of my 365 project blog.) And it turns out that we're already following each other in Flickr!

Angelika agreed to be in my photo and she was a good sport to even change clothes for me! I love this Renaissance photo of her and it seemed more appropriate for the location (or at least the composition I had in mind), so she changed into that gown. And I went more close-up for this one than I had originally planned to get her more into focus.

241 - At the fish pond, of course

Dim Sum observes the fish swimming in circles in the pond, as she tries to estimate the depth of the water.


I'm not quite happy with this photo but I didn't have much time today, because I became so engrossed in a compilation of Napoleon Bonaparte's letters to Josephine. *sigh* I think I'd swoon if I received love emails like those from another Frenchman I know....

240 - Shadowy elven door

Dim Sum lays in wait for whatever comes out of the big heavy door. Her hind legs relaxed but ready to spring forward in a pounce.


I just installed the new Firestorm and there seem to be slight changes in the DOF and other things. I'm still very crashy, so I'm using LL's viewer for everyday stuff. OMG, the graphics is just so much different. And I also realized that I bought my laptop in 2010, so it's about time for a replacement, but I can't afford it yet.

Meanwhile, life continues to be crazy.

239 - To live in a palace

Dim Sum watches the sunset as she listens to the sounds of the women of the harem inside the palace.


I know it's been a while. Some weekends I'm just so exhausted, especially with personal stuff going on. But I hope that's kinda resolved now. Anyway, I keep plugging away.
